ICS – 16
INTERACTIVE COMFORT SEAT
Results
The “ICS 16” seat is a mechatronic system with no. 3 sensors (operator presence, operator recognition, WBW), no. 2 ECU (seat controller, suspension controller). A single TPR multifunctional command (Touch, Push, Rotate). It allows the operator to know the position, the function of each command and to implement it directly if electrical.
Purposes and project description
The purpose is the realization of a “seat system”: suspension and relative HMI for tractors and industrial vehicles based on sensors, intuitive interfaces and actuators able to improve the safety and comfort of the operators through the continuous control and contrast of average vibrations absorbed in the workplace.
The basic concept is the Interactive Comfort; that is to say, a regulation system linked less to the operator’s experience and more to the objective conditions of work.
It is able to:
• measure the vibrations absorbed during one’s work shift;
• suggest improvement settings through a visualization of easy and immediate understanding for the operator;
• act on the devices present in the seat/suspension system to implement the appropriate contrast actions;
• check the effect, that is to say the reduction of stresses
